Lorin
Letendre is President and Publisher of Atwater Publishing Company.
He is also co-Principal of The Princeton Group, an advisory
group on corporate governance. He was formerly Chairman of the
Board of CPP, Inc. (publisher of career and personality tests
and books for career and organizational development, including
the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® and Thomas-Kilmann
Conflict Mode Instrument product lines). Previously he served
as President & CEO, Executive Vice President, and Senior
Vice President of CPP; and as a marketing manager, product manager,
editor-in-chief, and director of new ventures & acquisitions
at the testing division of McGraw-Hill, Inc.
Lorin
is a member of the National Faculty of the National Association
of Corporate Directors (NACD), has co-authored a handbook for
NACD (published in October 2004), and has written several articles
for NACD's Director's Monthly. He has made several presentations
to the Northern California Chapter of NACD and to conferences
of financial professionals on board governance. He serves on
the boards of the Northern California Chapter of NACD (as a
founding director), and the University of California at Santa
Barbara Alumni Association (as President-Elect for 2004-05).
Previously he served on the board and as President and Chair
of his industry's trade association (the Association of Test
Publishers), and on the boards of the Myers & Briggs Foundation,
the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology and the Career Action
Center. He has facilitated several boards of directors' strategic
planning retreats.
Lorin
holds a Master's Degree in the Political and Social Sciences
from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and taught
at the college level for four years prior to joining McGraw-Hill.
He also co-authored two editions of a college textbook for McGraw-Hill.
